Digital Negatives

We get this question all the time, “What are digital negatives?”! So we have a section up now for all of our Brides & Grooms, so you can understand what they are and how to use them.

All of our wedding packages include your digital negatives from your wedding day and your portrait session (engagement, bridal, or day after). Digital Negatives are like a blank canvas, that with so much potential, if you know how to use them! Digital Negatives are unedited with little if any tweaking, resizing, or retouching. Digital Negatives are NOT the images on our site or on our blog, those have extensive editing.
We offer you your digital files so you will have a digital copy of your special day, and you can access it at any time on your computer, or you might want to make some copies for your family. You might want to add them to your Facebook page, or on your own wedding website. Your negatives are yours, and you can do whatever you like with them as long as it falls under the copyright release. (You will receive a copy of this with your disc).

We retain the Copyright to every image we take, copyright ownership cannot be sold. When you you get your Images, you get them on a disc, with your release that gives you permission to use them for certain things, such as, making prints, products, putting them on Facebook (an example), or for personal/archival use. The release is given to You and your Groom only, and cannot be transferred.

We want you to understand what goes into making an image amazing. Each image can go thru many different editing processes, adjusting white balance, changing color hues, removing facial blemishes, blending skin tones, erasing debris or a distracting background, adding special effects like a vignette or black and white etc. There are so many options, I could really never list them all! Every single image requires individual attention and requires different editing steps.

All of the images on our Blog are fully edited and retouched. Your Wedding Album will be fully edited and retouched at no additional charge to you.
